Ms. Soledad Raimondi, Dance, is a native of Argentina, started her studies of Music and Dance at the National Conservatory of Mendoza, Argentina, where she graduated with a Masters in Ballet and Flamenco Dance. In 1973, after moving to Spain, Ms. Raimondi obtained a Masters Degree in Spanish Dance (Flamenco Department) at the Antonio Soler Conservatory of Barcelona under guidance of professor Antonio Gala. She moved to New York City in 1998. Ms. Raimondi has performed in the most prestigious Recital Halls in Spain, including the Liceo Theater of Barcelona, the Zarzuela Theater of Madrid, the Cuevas de Sacramonte in Granada, in South America the Colon Theater of Buenos Aires, the Independent Theater of Mendoza, in the United States, Steinway Hall, Bechstein Hall, All Saints Episcopal Church, Saint Peter’s Church, all in New York City. Ms. Raimondi has additionally collaborated on Television programs of Argentina, in San Juan and Mendoza. Ms. Raimondi has been the head of the Dance Department at Performing Arts Conservatory of New York since 2003 and the Music Director of All Saints Episcopal Church since 2002. She has directed the Flamenco Dance Concerts of the Conservatory, and her choreographies have been described by one critic as ”powerful and dynamic, displaying the art of dance, a true expression of Flamenco roots. Every year her students have been accepted in the most prestigious High Schools and Universities in New York State: Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, LaGuardia High School of Music and Art, the Julliard School, and Queens College, City University of New York.
